Creixell Beach and the Gorg

The protected natural area, which links the beaches of Creixell and Torredembarra, is made up of a set of dunes and wetlands that bear witness to the diversity and richness of the area’s vegetation.

This area is part of the protected area of Els Muntanyans de Torredembarra and was awarded in 2018 with the certification of Virgin Beach of the Tarragona and Terres de l’Ebre regions.

Located in the municipality of Roda de Barà, and only 10 minutes from Camping Gavina, it is a small village on the seafront, built between 1964 and 1972, following the style of the courtyards of Granada, Andalusia and Seville.

You will find Romanesque, Arabic and Gothic style buildings and other typical Spanish buildings, following a “typical village” aesthetic. It also has a pier, a maritime club and a civic centre.

Discover Altafulla, a beautiful seaside village less than 10 minutes from our campsite.

It has a beautiful crescent-shaped beach more than a kilometre long and a lovely promenade, the Les Botigues del Mar neighbourhood, made up of small white houses on the ground floor.

A stroll through Vila Closa is another highly recommended option. This is the old walled and fortified medieval centre, built around the 11th century. The most emblematic building is undoubtedly the castle, also known as “el Castell dels Montserrat”. It still preserves the original courtyard and a Renaissance gallery.
